The Process of Progress: Chapter Ten

NO PICTURE AVAILABLE

I would’ve never imagined that I would become as close to some of the people on this trip as I have. I came into this trip as the outsider, not saying more than 15 words during the entire duration of the flight. That reclusive nature was what I held on to, just living by the philosophy of the less you say, the less they know.

But since being in Tokyo, I’ve learned that no matter how differently we may look or sound, we all have commonalities. This night couldn’t have been planned nor scripted. Nights like this happen not by chance, but by nature. Perhaps it was destined for us to bond the way we did tonight. It was only six of us that decided to go out for fun. Those six shall forever remain anonymous, but those six have expanded the capacity of my heart. As random questions began to flow, stories began to be shared. The later it got, the deeper the conversation got. It reached an emotional climax, and what was designed as a night of leisure became the genesis of a family. As you may continue reading this post to find the nature of what was said tonight, you’ll be slightly disappointed because this moment could never be properly captivated even with the perfect sentence structure; however to feel the passion that was shared on tonight is to have a tangible memory in your possession.
