An American's Japanese life VII

May 21, 2015

Today was a day that really did not stick out from the other day. I do not do much that was really exciting. I was my calm day. Started off the day at school where I took my second test of the course. Feeling pretty good about that. After class, we went along with our day to get something to eat. Ate some good ol Turkish food. Hey, when in Japan eat Turkish. With our lunch break over with, it was time to continue with the second part of the day.
The class took a trip to a company called PROMETRIC, a company that specializes in research and the structure of tests. It was interesting to see a business that solely worked on the developments of tests and exam. I would have never expected a business as such to obtain the success that they got on exams. But it is a good that challenges the mental capability of that who is taken it. I got the chance to walk around the facility and see how everything works. They do not only provide computerized test to companies and businesses in different countries, but also has an on sight testing area for the locals.
Being in the testing facility kinda mad me feel uneasy because I strongly dislikes taking tests. The testing areas had as much security as a bank would. It was outfitted with cameras, metal detectors, and even a bio scanner. This people take test security to a whole new level. I do expect that when your giving out tests to Doctors and lawyers. It stops those who were not up to where they are suppose to be.
After the left Prometric, I tried something I always wanted but never got to...Korean BBQ. It was an interesting experience. Never been to a place where you cook the food. But again, these Japanese portions got do anything for me. Especially

when your eating thinly sliced beef.
