PLAY BALL!
Traditional Sundays for me are usually spent going to church and enjoying the company of my family. We'd usually eat dinner together and watch a movie together to conclude a nice family day. Being thousands of miles away from the convenience and comfort of my family, I chose to spend this Sunday slightly differently. I woke up to remember an invitation that I received to attend a baseball game today. I contacted Alisha and she told me to meet her downstairs at 11, so we could travel to the Tokyo Dome Stadium. Things didn't go as planned due to the fact that I had to do laundry, so I got a bit behind schedule. Then to add injury to insult, the dryer wasn't properly operating so my schedule was completely destroyed in a matter of minutes. This proved to be advantageous to me, however, because it opened the door for me to invite my roommates to attend the game with me. After tackling the tedious task of doing laundry, we decided to grab a bite to eat before heading to the baseball game. We ate at our favorite Turkish restaurant in Tokyo. After finishing the food, we took the train to the Tokyo Dome, where we had to wait outside...
We waited...
and waited...
and waited...
and waited...
Then the people that we were supposed to be meeting with finally decided to show up. We bought tickets and entered the game. The game's environment was extremely shocking. The fans were engagement and energetic in a way that I had never seen before. We took several pictures with the Giant's organization, and they greeted us as we exited the ballpark.
