Day 2, Subway Mantra and Don Quijote

Some Shopping
The Everything store - Don Quijote
After resting a little bit (the bed sleeps quite comfortably, but the sun shines bright at 4am), we decided to venture out and check out the infamous Don Quijote store. It has 4 levels and just about everything inside. I just kinda wondered from aisle to aisle discovering. It would be very easy  to spend alot of money here even though most things are reasonably priced. Today, I didn't even make it to the 3rd and 4th floor. I bought some rose candy that basically tastes like you're eating rose petals; quite yummy. And in the spirit of my marketing class, I saw these ads of women walking in heels and coolig gel foot pads. I don't read any Japanese,  but i could tell by the picture that I had to have them.   So I purchased these cooling gel ankle wraps to see if it would relieve my future foot pain. With all this walking and running to get inside the subway, I figure it'd be a must very soon. Plus they smell nice.

Check out the boxes of hair dye. I like the guy anime, but the doll faces seem a little creepy to me.

Future Fun
Also, as we were rushing around to get to campus, I couldn't help but stop and take a picture of a roller coaster among the city landscape. I've got to go ride this one for sure.

In regards to the toilets: Ok, so i'm still experiencing the whole toilet thing, and there's seems to be slightly different kinds at the various places. I will do a little write-up while I'm here about just the toilets. I definitely wish I could take one home.

The Subway: You're Gonna Need a Map and a Mantra.  And a final note for the day, the subway is usually packed full and is a mad rush to get in and out before the doors close. The trains run every few mins, but this is new to all of us, so you don't wanna get left behind right now.  You can imagine how intimidating and overwhelming this can be. If you know your final stop you can look at the map and plan it out. Today I'm gonna try the app. After a few more times, it may not be as stressful. I also recommend a mantra to keep yourself calm, if you so need it. I just think of something that used to intimidate me, but makes me laugh now to think I was even intimidated by it. Think of yours and know that this too can be laughable one day. ...maybe...heh heh.
