This morning I had to take a visit to the American Clinic Tokyo in Akasaka due to a health complication. It was a bit nerve wracking to need medical care in a foreign country but the doctor and nurse made me feel comfortable and listened to me well. They put my medication in a starbucks bag to remain discreet on my way back to the hostel. I wondered if it was a just a situation where they ran out of bags for my medication and they used what was available but hey actually received a new order of paper starbuck bags to the office why I was there.
I am glad my experience at the doctor didn’t run long because I was looking forward to attending a trip to Temple University Japan campus. Before that we visited Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills. We were able to go all the way to the top of the building and look over Minato. My favorite was being able to see the famous red and white Tokyo Tower. Next stop was TUJ. I’ve been looking at their main campus and was very interested in seeing their campus in Japan. We received a lecture from Dr. Annika Culver. She specialized in east asian culture and we discussed how to spot luxury brands in Japan and their fashion trends.
