Day 3 with a little shopping

 

                To start the morning off we had a small earthquake, it wasn’t the earthquake that scared me but the noise that goes off on your phone lol. I had just fallen asleep and bam whoop whoop whoop “earthquake take cover” lol something like that but the buildings are built to handle earthquakes, so we were fine and just went to bed once it stopped. There were other parts of the city that got hit worse than us. When we woke up for real this time, we all went to the lobby to meet with Dr V and Mr. Ladd to learn how work the train station and get our metro cards. It’s not that hard and all you really need is your phone and it’ll tell you how get wherever you want to go by the metro. We a walk to the G line and the went through just to make sure everyone’s pass worked, and it did for our group. Once we got through, we walked to temple that was only about 2 mins from the train station. At the entrance it was very crowded because it was a nice warm day outside, as you walk in you see many different shops that are selling all types of things. We stopped at one of the shops and got some candy strawberry’s and came with four on a stick that would have been way better if they were cold, but they weren’t bad. After that we walked towards the temple and did a fortune and had to pay 100 yen to get one. Of course, I got a bad fortune, so when you get a bad fortune, you must tie it on a pole so you can get rid of the bad fortune. From there we headed into the actual temple but before you can get in there you must clean yourself then you enter the temple and toss 100 yen in the pot and say the prayer. After that we didn’t have to say there, we were free to go about our way but before we left the class wanted to stop and get some ice cream that was over there, so they got that and then left. Since we still had lots of sunlight left, we decided to go shopping for us and for our moms because Mother’s Day was coming up. The mains store that I wanted to go to was BAPE which was the first stop, and I got a zip up jacket then we went to pandora and got a necklace for my mom and a Japan charm for me. We did some walking around then headed back to the room and went to bed
