Day 8

 Day 8 was a very jam packed day as well. My roommates and I decided to go shopping because we wanted to take some pictures. We had visited a couple retail stores and found the clothes we wanted at a H&M right before our class excursion. Upon arriving we had to change into business casual attire because later in the day we were going to attend a lecture at Temple University Japan. Before Temple Japan, we visited the Mori Tower. Mori Tower had an art museum and arts center gallery. On the top floor there was an open sky deck and helicopter landing pad. The open sky deck showed us a more open skyline view than the past buildings we had been to, mostly because it was open. Our whole class got to take pictures along the skyline that turned out great. After the skydeck we had to catch another train to attend our lecture. We arrived at Temple University Japan to attend a lecture by Professor Annikka Culture on advertising and consumption in Japan. During the lecture we learned that some Japanese brands tie their image to some part of Japanese’s history or culture. We also learned that our speaker has released two books and has another book coming out based on the topic of the lecture. She even let us know how she gained the background information and research she used in her upcoming book.
