Day 18 involved an all day trip to Nikko with the entire TNCIS group. We woke up at 5 am to get ready for the trip that was happening at 7. We got on an express train to Nikko that took almost 2 hours to reach our destination. Nikko was what I would consider the country in the US. It was a small town surrounded by my mountains. Little amounts of people coming and going. People there have houses instead of like some of the residence places in or near Tokyo. We arrived in Nikko early in the day so there was little to any food places open for us to eat. We traveled by bus to the area we were visiting. There were multiple shrines, temples, statues and prayer areas at our destination. We received an hour and a half to explore the land. My roommates and I decided to kill two birds with one stone and complete our class assignments while on our trip. We interviewed two staff who were chaperoning a school sponsored event for some students from a junior high school. After we left that destination we went to Wonderland. Wonderland was a place where people cosplayed as samurais and ninjas. There I was able to try grilled chicken kabobs, watch a ninja major show, and take a picture with a samurai.
