Day 3 we took a class excursion to Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. There we were able to see a shrine, temple, and the stores and markets around the temple. We even participated in receiving fortunes and performed a traditional prayer. For our fortunes we had to shake a canister and receive a stick. The stick had a symbol that matched with a drawer of fortunes. I received a bad fortune, so to get rid of it we had to tie our fortunes on a rod so it couldn’t get out into the world. For the prayer we placed a coin in a donation box and followed the guidelines to perform a successful prayer. At the temple I tried these glazed strawberries that I rated a 9 out 10. They would have received a 10 if they were frozen or chilled. After the temple, me and my roommates went shopping in Shibuya. There we bought Bape jackets and Pandora charms for ourselves and our mothers. We also walked around and discovered Shein, but it was only a display store so we couldn’t do any shopping.
