Sunday was my solo trip day!! I started the day early and visited the famous Uniqlo! Uniqlo is similar to H&M in the U.S. so I was excited to go since that’s a favorite store of mine. The store was built upwards and had at least 3-4 floors, each of with was a different section (women’s, men’s, children, etc.). I was looking for a different store called Loft, a home goods store, which was a bit away from Uniqlo. At first I got lost since on Apple Maps it said I arrived but I didn’t see the store. Turns out it was on one of the upper levels. Stores are crowded and have narrow aisles so I didn’t stay long but on the first level there was what I think is the equivalent to their food court. I picked up some dango on the way out. Later that day I went to Akihabara, the electric town to look at anime figures. I picked up SO MANY gifts and souvenirs so I had a great time there. I’ve noticed that there’s plenty of shops that sell similar things and also places where you have to pay PER floor. I saw Radio Kaikan which was an anime OVERLOAD. There was merch from so many anime and video games you just HAVE to buy something. On the way back I spent at least $10 on crane machines. I tried some tanghulu (candied fruit) which was EXTREMELY sweet but the fruit was surprisingly cold in the center. We decided to eat chicken nanban for dinner. I learned that it is fried chicken with tartar sauce and it was delicious!
