Day 3

I’ve been waking up super early recently and noticed that it gets bright outside around 4-4:30 am here. We got tired of 7/11 food and started to look for restaurants. We noticed that everything opens around 10 am, takes a break around 2-3, and then resumes business around 5-6. This is strange to me since in the U.S restaurants open early and stay open until night time. I wonder if this is an effect of covid. We went to Asakusa which is home to Sensoji Temple and also is the most visited tourist destination in Tokyo. Lots of shops and vendors surrounded the entire area. When we got back a group of older women were fascinated by our hair and asked us to touch it. For dinner we went to a small and new halal ramen shop. The man spoke a bit of English and he helped us translate a phone call in Japanese. The ramen was really good and he explained to us that there a only a few halal restaurants in the area. He also explained that there was only one halal hot sauce sold in Japan.
