First, I had to see with my own eyes that Japan is very big on walking everywhere aside from public transportation. There is still traffic but the crosswalks were still busy too. On our walking tour, we basically learned the history of where early anime and big electronic companies such as Panasonic and Nintendo started (Akihabara). After that we learned about Edo (early Tokyo) as well as a little information about Japanese religion. We went to a Japanese Shrine and a Buddhist temple. I took a picture of Ebisu-sama, the god of business prosperity. Japanese Shinto includes 8 million gods. Also, since earthquakes, tsunamis and wars have all affected Tokyo, most of their buildings, including these shrines and temples, were rebuilt after the 1930s. So most of Tokyo has architecture that isn’t even 100 years old yet.
