Flying Overseas Japan Style
I couldn't go to sleep the night before because of all the excitement I had about my first trip overseas. When I got to the airport at 7:30am I met the rest of the TNCIS crew, everyone was soo enthusiastic. All 19 of us boarded the airplane which would turn into a 15 hour trip with one layover in Dallas. The flight was not half bad for me to be sitting in a seat for soo long because I was either watching movies or sleep for a majority of the trip. When we finally arrived to Narita airport I was drained it was late at night and all I could think about was going to bed. I forced myself to stay alert and capture all the different views of Tokyo during our train ride to the hostel which took another 2+ hours to get to. When we checked in to our rooms I was soo shocked at our sleeping arrangements I had no idea for the next three weeks I would be sleeping on a mat on the floor. I already have minor back problems and trouble falling asleep. Sleeping on a mat was not going to help this situation. Ugggh. But this is what I signed up for so I tried to keep my spirits high and make the best out of the room. Good night from Tokyo...
