1st Visit to Chuo University:May 12th
Today is my 21st birthday and to celebrate I woke up in JAPAN. This is the best birthday present EVER. I woke up early in the morning to get dressed for the day and pack my bookbag with snacks, my digital camera, sunglasses, and bottled water. The group met in front of the hostel to walk to the train station together. As we was walking the streets of Asakusa I could see everything the Tokyo Sky Tree which is famous for it's observation room and it being the tallest building in JAPAN was near by. Everywhere I turned there was a 7/11 store and random soda fountain. I would never be thristy again if I lived in Tokyo. Onced we arrived to Chuo University the school where we would be taking our marketing class with Dr. V and meeting our Japanese buddies. I was in awe with the size of the school it was massive around 20,000 students attend the university. The first place we went to at the school was the cafteria area. The cafteria would fulfill any foodie desire there was sooo many lunch options it would take months to try everything. I was a bit boring with my lunch choice I chose fired chicken and veggies a typically American meal to eat. Once lunch was over I was paired up with 3 Japanese students to show me around campus. It was during this time when I experienced my first case of culture shock. There was a huge language barrier between us I was not able to comprehend what my buddies was trying to say. It was at this point when I had to learn some Japanese and quick.
